A tree skirts humble beginnings. Originally candles were used to light Christmas trees; in some *European countries the tradition still holds true today in fact. Today, since most of us no longer have to worry about candle wax, our tree skirts have become true labors of love with intricate designs and embellishments. Family tradition find these beautiful tree skirts passed down for generations.
