Simple-to-Make, Fun-to-Wear!
The Keshy jacket
pattern lets you play.
With lots of variations, fabric loving
styling, and easy of construction - you
can make several to compliment your wardrobe.
I really like Oriental styled clothes,
but I wanted to create something a bit
different. So Keshy has a shorter
back and no
collar - plus you can modify it
depending on your fabric choices. Sewing
Skill Level 1.
The
first version here was made from these
great floaty, sort-of-sheer
rayons that
I fell in love with; bought every yard
the store had in 5 different colors. The
next one is 100% quilters
cotton - with
contrasting inside bands at the bottom
to give it body.
While the third version
was made from a 100% polyester
sueded-satin with miniature sequins
all over the fabric. I made the sleeves
long and added a big band to them. The
fabric was truly awful to work with and
I must have broken 8 or 9 needles. But
gads it looks great!

PS: The jacket
was named after my baby sister Kelly.
When she was very young she couldn't
say Kelly clearly - it came out Keshy.
Well actually it was Kelly Elizabeth
= Keshy Awishabish. Older
sisters get to play!
