Dyeing
Fabric
Lots of messy fun. Depending on workshop
length (1 or more days), we'll work
on small to larger 100% cotton fabric
pieces. We'll use non-toxic, heat-setting
dyes, salt and resist techniques, 'scrunching',
and wintergreen rubbing alcohol.
Need
adequate room to work and allow fabric
to dry undisturbed.

Hand
Beading and Embellishment Techniques
We'll explore and learn to apply
beads (sead
and bugle) to
padded fabric with extensive use
of embellishment trims.
We'll work on 6" x 10" fabric
pieces with batting and backing materials;
seed and bugle beads, and detailed
trim pieces.
Need good lighting,
table and chairs, and possibly a
magnifying glass to thread those
darn small needles.

Cutwork-Applique
Vests
We love our vest patterns and can
show you just how simple they are
to put together. We'll all work on
the vest pattern you choice from
our pattern line. You'll learn
to prepare your appliques, cut out
your linings and battings, layer,
sew everything in place, trim and
embellish your vest.
Need good lighting
and adequate room for sewing machines,
irons and ironing boards, and laying
out the vest. Preparation is needed
for this class and an information
list will be provided.

Motion Embellishing Techniques
Round and round she goes...learn
to duplicate the effects like we
used on our All Wrapped
Up jacket. Free motion
work using a variety of
threads and fabrics of your choice.

Trunk
Show and Lecture
Pattern garments, competition garments,
sample pieces, hand dyed fabrics
- and boy can we talk about them!
We'll pass around all our
stuff and bring
our patterns too.

for everyone. A two hour show
and question and answer session.
